Ian’s training is in clinical psychology, psychoanalysis, and organizational behavior. His professional life as a consulting psychologist spans a quarter century of change from his doctoral dissertation on evacuees’ threat perception following the Three Mile Island nuclear power plant accident, to 9/11 field consultations.
Ian’s work in organizational change has focused both upon client-centered business consultation and upon program development related to contemporary social issues.
Among other projects, Ian has participated in: Human Rights consultations with Doctors of the World; the post 9/11 “Firehouse Project” of the New York Fire Department; and in the development of leadership skills programs for religious organizations.
His work on Accord’s StoneSoup projects addresses today’s economic imperatives in relation to workplace re-entry, development of entrepreneurial business, and intergenerational knowledge transfer.
